Warning: scam attempts in BTCX's name

We have noticed an increase in scam attempts where fraudsters impersonate BTCX, both by SMS and phone calls.

Please note:

BTCX never sends SMS messages unless they are linked to an order you have placed.
BTCX never calls customers claiming that we hold funds belonging to you. We are an exchange and do not hold customer funds.
If you receive such a message or call, never share personal details, codes or BankID, and do not click any links. Contact our support if you are unsure.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

Bitcoin Cash is a hard forked version of Bitcoin, meaning that a significant change to the original Bitcoin code has been made. In many ways it is similar to the Bitcoin protocol, regarding blocktimes (how long the solution takes), hashing (how much computer power it needs) and reward system for the miners.

The main difference is the 8 MB block size limit (Bitcoin has 1 MB blocks), meaning Bitcoin Cash can handle more transactions compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash adjust the hash difficulty once every sixth block, much less than Bitcoins change of every 2016 blocks.
