Meet Rebecka & Hani – Sweden’s First Bitcoin Podcast for Women

Bitcoin – just for nerdy tech guys in hoodies? Hardly. Women are getting on board!

Rebecka and Hani have launched Sweden’s first podcast about Bitcoin, by and for women. Their mission? To break the stigma, normalize the conversation, and show more women that the future of finance doesn’t require a degree from KTH or Stockholm School of Economics.

We sat down with them to hear why they started the podcast – and why YOU should tune in.

So, why a Bitcoin podcast for women?

Rebecka: “Because this is still a world where men have a head start. Historically, women have always entered the financial game late when it comes to investing and managing wealth. Are we really going to let history repeat itself? Bitcoin isn’t a ‘guy thing’ – it’s the future of money, and it’s time for us to jump on board!”

Hani: “And because we needed this podcast ourselves! I’m a beginner and eager to learn – but there are hardly any platforms where women talk about Bitcoin in a fun and inspiring way. It felt natural to create what we ourselves were missing.”

What can listeners expect?

Rebecka: “Uplifting and encouraging conversations – without complex jargon. We invite both experts and everyday Bitcoin enthusiasts to show that you don’t need to be an economist or a tech pro to understand Bitcoin.”

Hani: “Storytelling! This isn’t a dry technical podcast – we talk to real people, sharing how Bitcoin changes lives and why it matters. We want people to listen and think: ‘Wait, is it really that simple? Then I can do this too!’”

But isn’t Bitcoin risky and… kind of shady?

Hani: “That’s exactly the misconception we want to challenge. In Sweden, there’s still a strong aversion to Bitcoin, while the rest of the world is realizing that it’s here to stay. It’s time for us to wake up and see the opportunities instead of clinging to outdated fears.”

Rebecka: “Talking about money often feels uncomfortable, especially for women. But we need to stop seeing Bitcoin as something sketchy. It’s no shadier than the internet was in the ’90s. The time when we could ignore Bitcoin is over – the only question is whether you’ll get on board now or wait until the train has already left the station… with only male passengers!’”
